48 Hour Seesaw: Honoring Tim Coyer and Ryan Bailey

Beginning Wednesday, April 25th at 10:00 AM, the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity will be hosting its 48 Hour Seesaw — a bi-annual philanthropy event in an effort to raise money in honor of Tim Coyer and Ryan Bailey, two Towson University students who died on Saturday, March 31st. Delta Sigma Phi will donate all proceeds from this event to the Wounded Warrior Project and the Bailey Family for a scholarship in Ryan’s name. The members of the fraternity will be riding a seesaw for 48 straight hours until Friday, April 27th at 10:00 AM.

Ryan Bailey, 20-year-old junior accounting major and member of Sigma Chi, was struck by a car and killed in Towson early Saturday morning. Ryan, a native of Seaford, NY, was a standout lacrosse player for Seaford High School.

Timothy Coyer, 27-year-old junior pre-business administration major and member of Kappa Sigma, was found dead in his off-campus apartment early Saturday afternoon. An Army veteran, Timothy was an active member of campus life, participated in the Student Veterans Group and had been deployed to Iraq twice.

The members of Delta Sigma Phi will be holding the event at Towson University, on the Potomac Patio (Outside the University Union). The Fraternity will be playing music and have fun all through out the day and night to support this cause. Rain or shine, the seesaw will keep moving to show our dedication in honor of the deaths of two Towson University students.
